JILL EIKENBERRY

Jill Eikenberry’s long list of theater, feature film, and TV credits include the portrayal of activist counselor, Ann Kelsey on NBC-TV hit series "L.A. Law" for which she earned four Emmy nominations, two Golden Globe nominations and a Golden Globe award. She reprised her role on LA Law -- The Movie on NBC.

A graduate of Yale Drama School, Jill appeared regionally at Yale Rep, at The Arena Stage in Washington, D.C., and at the Long Wharf Theater in New Haven. Her Broadway credits include "Moonchildren", "Watch on the Rhine", "Summer Brave", "Onward Victoria" and " All Over Town", directed by Dustin Hoffman. She appeared in numerous off-Broadway productions including Wendy Wasserstein’s "Uncommon Women", in which she also appeared opposite Meryl Streep in the PBS-TV version, and Tennessee Williams’ "Eccentricities of a Nightingale," as well as "Lemon Sky" by Lanford Wilson and "Life Under Water" by Richard Greenberg, both of which earned her an Obie Award. On television Jill appeared in numerous TV movies, most notably, the four hour ABC mini-series "An Inconvenient Woman" with Jason Robards, "Ties that Bind" with Peter Coyote, and Showtime’s "Chantilly Lace" and its sequel "Parallel Lives".

Jill has appeared opposite her husband, Michael Tucker on stage in A.R. Gurney’s "Love Letters," on television in "Hill Street Blues," "A Family Again," "Assault and Matrimony," "A Town Torn Apart", "Gone in a Heartbeat", and "Archie’s Wife," which also featured their daughter, Alison. Jill co-produced a one-hour documentary for NBC entitled "Destined to Live," which dealt with the emotional aspects of breast cancer, from diagnosis to recovery. Jill battled the disease in 1986 and was aware of the importance of letting other women know that they were not alone and could recover and lead full and normal lives. Jill and Michael tell their story with humor and hope. Jill says, "Our experience with breast cancer forced us to face the fact that we are going to die one day. The question became, ‘how do we want to live?’" "Destined to Live" was honored with a Humanitas Award.

MICHAEL TUCKER

A veteran stage, film and television actor, Michael Tucker is perhaps best known for his role as Stuart Markowitz in the hit series, “L.A. Law”. His 8-year stint on the popular NBC-TV drama brought him three Emmy nominations and two Golden Globe nominations. He reprised his role on LA Law -- The Movie, seen on NBC.

In the theater, Michael most recently starred in “Based on a Totally True Story” at Manhattan Theatre Club. His theater credits range from Regional to Broadway. After graduating from Carnegie Mellon’s famed drama department, he joined the company of the Long Wharf Theater in New Haven for a season, then spent three seasons at the Milwaukee Repertory Theater and two seasons at Arena Stage in Washington D.C. He made his Broadway debut with in “Moonchildren” and then went on to build an extensive list of stage credits. He helped to re-open the Geary Theater in San Francisco where he starred in a production of Shakespeare’s “The Tempest”. Michael’s film credits include Woody Allen’s “Radio Days” and “The Purple Rose of Cairo”, Barry Levinson’s “Diner" and “Tin Men” and many more.

Michael Tucker’s first book “I Never Forget a Meal: An Indulgent Reminiscence” is part memoir, part cookbook. In this witty autobiography, he captures his passion for living, loving, learning, acting and his lifelong love affair with food. His second book, “Living in a Foreign Language” was published in 2007 by Grove/Atlantic. This book chronicles the Tuckerberrys’ newest chapter as homeowners in the Italian countryside. The paperback was published in June. His new book, “Family Meals” will be published in November.

Jill and Michael have recently put together a two-person show that they are performing around the country. Michael received the “Good Guys Award” from the National Women’s Political Caucus for his work on women’s health issues.
